The state sanctioning issue is pretty hot in a lot of different areas across the country, so I decided to post this in the main forum to generate some additiona discussion. Minnesota just got sanctioned for boys H.S. lacrosse.

It could change the face of boys lacrosse in this area.
And it's debatable on whether that change is good or bad for the state of boys lacrosse in this area.
With the exception of indoor track and ice hockey, most scholastic sports are endorsed by the PIAA.
That is also not the case when it comes to boys lacrosse, but it appears a matter of time before that happens.
PIAA executive director Brad Cashman was quoted in the Intelligencer-Journal of Lancaster in January saying that boys lacrosse was being seriously considered for being added to the PIAA. And other published reports have indicated that the organization will vote on the issue this summer.
If approved, how will it change how the sport is currently governed?
