The UCSB Gauchos will leave Santa Barbara a day early and practice with the MLL LA Riptide today at the Home Depot Center in Carson CA. The Gauchos are very excited to prepare for the MDIA championship tournament with a So Cal warm up with the pros. Mike Allan, UCSB head coach, is an assistant coach with the Riptide.

Be sure to include detailed diagrams of plays, planned offensive and defensive strategies, slide packages, substitution patterns, and so on as well. :D

They ran two on two with picks from behind for attack and D. Shooting for middies. Then they ran a scrimmage with refs from the area for the rest of practice. The ball was on the ground a lot more than I thought it would be. As far as Will Patton's play, he looked like a child among men. I guess the best in the MDIA don't match up as well as I might have hoped with the best in the country.

that would have been odd game to watch...i mean, with MLL scores running like 25-28, defending against MLL offenses seems laughable even for MLL defenses, let alone MDIA.

I got it wrong when I posted earlier. It turns out that UCSB got to meet with the MLL players and watch their practice. Then the Gauchos had their own practice without the Riptide players at the Home Depot Center.
Will Patton, former UCSB all american, was trying out for the Riptide today while his old teamates were there.
Ravaging Beast was just describing the Riptide practice and what they did.
Is that correct Beast?
