My daughters were watch Screech Owls on the Discovery Kids channel this morning--a show about kids on a hockey team and their adventures. In one of the episodes the hockey coach wants to teach the kids about lacrosse so he brings in his old lacrosse coach. There is some controversy surrounding this guy involving one of his former players. The kid disappeared and he was the prime suspect. The kid's ghost appears to one of the kids asking for his help. There's a scene where two of the boys go over to the lacrosse coach's house to do some snooping and get caught. They make up a story about coming over to get some pointers on lacrosse. The coach pulls out his equipment, including old school wooden sticks, and shows them one of his maneuvers. It was really cool seeing the old-style sticks in action.
It is on again at 10 a.m. (pacific) in case anyone is interested in catching that episode. It's called Horror on River Road.
Nice to see lacrosse on a kids show.

Cool, so the lacrosse coach killed a kid. I dunno if we need any more press right now pointing in that direction

There was also an episode of Law & Order SVU last year that had the captain of a high school lacrosse team doing inappropriate things to a little girl....

Actually the kids went on to prove that the coach was wrongfully accused. They found the missing player's body in the woods. It was discovered that the boy was killed by a rogue bear. He came back as a ghost in order to help his coach.
I don't see that as being negative press, only fodder for a good mystery story for kids. Plus there was some very good lacrosse action in it.

There was that short-lived show with Heather Locklear called LAX.
Oh, and there's some bad lacrosse in the movie American Pie.

Maybe I am just missing a joke, but wasn't that show about airport security at Los Angelos' LAX?

Night Court re-run? Where did that come from? Anytime night court re-runs come into your nightly agenda that spells an action packed evening.
