Quick hits from Quint

I found these nuggets of information very entertaining....

- I have covered 11 NCAA finals and the national champion has always worn the same color socks. Teams who come out in black and white socks are bush league, unorganized. Socks are part of the team uniform, they are not an opportunity to individualize. Would you ever see different color socks for UCLA basketball or Notre Dame football?

- During warm-ups stay on your half of the field. Don't stretch past the 50-yard line.

- Don't jog behind the opponents' goal during warm-ups. You are asking to be pegged by an errant shot. Safety first.

- Take off your helmet and gloves for post-game handshakes. There's no rush. Be a sportsman.

Quint is such a loser. I was watching college wrestling a few weeks ago and he was nothing more than a sideline reporter.
Lacrosse commentators are the worst in the business.

pretty big loser-he was MVP of the national championship game as an 18yr old true freshman, stoning one of the best attackmen in history (at least accroding to Coach graff-Dennis Goldstein) on a point blank one on one. Sounds like a loser to me.

Well obviously the 5 foot 6 "Lil Wayne" will never be as cool as a sideline reporter for college wrestling

Let's see... They are paying you a salary to cover sports for TV.

Sounds like a pretty good gig to me, if you can swing it.

I have worked with Quint. Good guy and does his research. Can't blame him for taking work, even if the production is not at the network level.

Pig Pen:

Thanks - Tim Goldstein, not Dennis. Dennis is outstanding, Tim is better than Dennis.
