Briefly read the news from the University of Maryland's lacrosse website:

Xander Ritz scored the game-winning goal in overtime by leading the Terps to a 8-7 win over Duke. Xander had 5 goals whereas his buddy, Joe Walters had one goal and two assists.

It was interesting to read that Duke requested a stick check on Joe Walters after what the article termed it as "an impressive display of stick skills..." Once his stick was declared legal, he then scored to put the Terps to a 7-7 tie with the Blue Devils with around 10:33 left in the regulation.

#10 Princeton snaps #1 JHU's home-winning streak (37 straight home game wins snapped and is now tied with Syracuse), 6-4.

My dad called me mid-JHU/Prin. He's been watching lax for 30 years. while we always talk lax after games, I cannot remember the last time he called me during a game. But he did on this one because he was so impressed with Princeton's d and mids - just outrageously good.

And after today in D1 - their poll voters cannot be happy. Syracuse loses by 5, Towson loses to Binghampton, Stony Brook loses to Harvard, Duke loses to Maryland, Army loses to Lehigh, and UNC loses (which really isn't that big a deal anymore)

I know that I"m not happy trying to reconcile what's gone on in the USLIA for the next poll...
