Alex Smith set a new NCAA record by winning all 21 of his faceoffs... Smith, a junior All-American from Timonium, MD (Boy's Latin HS) who led the nation in faceoff percentage a year ago by winning nearly 71 percent of the time, was perfect on the afternoon as he won all 21 of his tries to break the mark of 20 for 20 by Army's Alex Garn vs. Lafayette in 2001.

Delaware defeated Wagner, 16-2 yesterday (Feb. 28).

. . . and after that, I flew to Whittier to help coach and still made it back in time for my workout with the 49ers on Sunday. It was a big weekend for Alex Smith!

I coached a team that went to battle of the hotbeds this summer and we got to hang out with him between games and he spent a bunch of time showing our guys tricks and tips. He is unbelievable. Some of the stuff you just watch and think, "How did he even come up with that idea."
