Looking over the horizon of all the students flocking back to the bastions of higher learning this week and next week, some of us including myself are looking forward to this new season of banter, debates, discussions, jokes, braggadocios (sp?), etc.
I daresay that the USLIA.com message board will come alive again in the first two weeks of September.
What about you?

I did notice though that we have grown to 1,234 members. Not bad!
If they all become Premium members Sonny can quit his day job!

Quit my day job for $12,340? I don't think so. It costs that much to fill my tank these days!

Amen to that!! I just dropped $20 yesterday...for less than 8 gallons of gas!! ($2.67 is the lowest I've found in my part of LA)
Anybody want to lay a wager as to which will come first: $3 a gallon or more banter on the boards?
I'm betting on the $3!!!

Isn't it already $3 (or more) in San Francisco? If not now, then for sure by labor day weekend. That's my pick.

The average in Waco, Texas is around $2.50.
Well, back to prediciting which week you will see the folks clamoring to USLIA.com.
Weberlax said it would be around the last week of September.
What say you?

Mid october. That's when the majority of the tourneys will be going on, plus some schools don't start until late september.

$42 for a fill up on a 16-gallon tank. really disappointing. im moving closer to my job so i can save $$$ on gas. that's ya'll's president, though.

gas prices don't have anything to do with the president.
i hope it goes to $5 a gallon so the roads will be wide open and i can go 110 on my way to work.

I'm on the same page as you, Jessexy, but since the topic is lacrosse and not ladubya I'll get back on topic.
The WCLL meeting isn't until Oct. 15th, and the tournaments I've heard of in our area are also around that time. My estimate is mid-october for conference-related subjects, late-sept for the board in general.

High gas prices...let's see
George Bush's fault
or
China's explosive growth and increased demand (which is also the reason the cost of steel and other materials are high)
Hurricanes in the Gulf that have hampered offshore production
The inability to produce more domestic petroleum in such places like ANWR or off the coast of Florida and California
That is a tough one!!!

It's esier to blame someone you don't like. Personally, I'm not a "W" fan, but I won't blame him for our high oil prices. I just think we need more local oil foundries.

Sorry, I left that one out...Thanks ZagGrad. Haven't built a refinery in the United States since the 70's...I know it is in my home state!
