Trying to make plans to take the family up to Vail again this summer for the Shootout, but I noticed the MLL All-Star game will be in Denver on July 2nd.
I haven't followed the MLL much...would it be worth driving back from Vail for the game? Or not going up to Vail until after the all-star game? Or bag the all-star game and spend 5-6 days in Vail?

Vail is stacked with talent this year. Lots of DI guys from all of the big schools will be there. Personally, just for the atmosphere and the fun of it all, I'd stick around in Vail, though it's only the quarterfinals that day. The best part of the tourney is the semis and finals. If you have the opportunity, you might as well check out the All-Star game and then come back up for the 3rd and 4th. I am on the staff in Vail and we will be posting all the rosters as the time gets closer. There are a bunch of MDIA all stars on various teams as well.

I would vote for vail, but if its a family, it may be fun to do the all-star game weekend. Fastest shot and the trick shot competition could get old pretty quick, and it depends on how you feel about teams playing little to no defense if you want to stay and watch the game. I'd rather see some intensity and a real game, which is possible at the All-Star game, but not likely.

Are you talking about the All-Star game or the 7th graders I coach?

Personally, I'd stay in Vail and watch the game on TV. There is something special about everything going on there. It's too good to pass up.
