i agree. this weekend i hung out at my brothers house and he has direct tv. unfortunately the satellite was not working (i do not believe that it was a problem with the service but rather with one of the roomates) but my brothers tivoed south park, aqua teen hunger force, sealab 2021, american chopper, and robot chicken episodes were more than enough to keep me entertained. I wish i had satellite and tivo. id never leave my chair, oh wait, i could! i could just tivo everything i would miss!

Programming is not really up to us. CSTV covers what they want. We requested that they at least provide B highlights in the show, and I think they are doing that. Remember that ESPN does not cover the NCAA D2 and D3 finals at all (CSTV does). I think the next step for CSTV is to cover the IA A final live and completely. I'm sure B will follow someday.

I wish I could afford it all! With a junior at the U of M, all my money is going to support their varsity club sports!

Anyone else of the opinion that ESPNU is going to really hurt CSTV?
Without the dish you have very little chance of getting either, but ESPN's name, and marketing engine will probably take a big dent out of their market in the next few years.

Don't forget that Fox Sports has already started three new College Sports Channels themselves (FCS Atlantic, FCS Central, & FCS Pacific):

Between ESPNU and CSTV (& my trusted TiVO), I had a very hard time staying on top of all the lacrosse games on the tube this past season.

For those who are media savvy, ESPNHD did not encrpt their DIRECTV transmission of the DI championship game (they usually do). If you recorded the game in dvr-ms format, using Windows Media Center, you can break down the game using the correct software. I have put it together on a DVD with no commercials, period chapter breaks, chapters for all goal scored etc., etc. Don't ask me for a copy-it's copyrigted material.

Nice. The HD DirecTiVO must be a great device. I'd like to get one soon, but that $999 price tag is still a little steep for my blood.
