Lending a Hand to Utah

Postby Gregg Pathiakis on Tue May 31, 2005 1:38 am

I am surprised no one has posted anything about the article that appears in the current issue of Lacrosse Magazine about Utah coach Mason Goodhand. To be honest, I haven't read it yet, but I wanted to make sure people knew about it. Starts on page 86.

I have read it and I trully loved the article mason deserves all the credit for lacrosse in utah and everyone in america so know what a great man he is. I have known him ever since he helped me with advice on starting a high school team. Now he is being very helpful with me in restarting my universities program, I could have went and played for him but I guess i want to be like him and help his vision grow. I thank you Mason for everything you have done for the sport in utah, and I hope that we youth can keep growing the sport while keeping it respectable.

For all of those that read the article and dont know Mason know that he is truly a great man, and a great coach!

Mason is a class act and a great friend. When I first started coaching at New Mexico in the early mid 90's he gave me some great advice and ideas I still use today. There are some great people in Utah that are called to serve the Lacrosse world and people like Mason make the difference as far as the growth of our sport.

These are some exciting times for the growth of Lacrosse and that is because the hard work of people like Mason Goodhand and many others giving their time and making sacrifices to their Family and to their jobs to make a difference in their region for the growth of the sport.

Congrats on all your success at the University of Utah and I wish you all the best this upcoming season in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference. I look forward in seeing you Mason this season from the sideline God willing.
