Eligibility Question

This year Michigan State University is offering a "study abroad" program for student athletes. Basically, they can travel to australia, get college credit, and compete on a team in their sport.

My question is... Would this count as a year of eligibility? They are playing lacrosse for a university, but it's not their own.

Just wondering before I send my players over seas to do this.

Would have to be addressed by the Board. My gut reaction is that it would not count, but the Board would have to rule on it.
