Does anybody's cable company carry this station yet?? I was at a bar and luckily stumbled on the Duke/Hopkins game this past weekend. This channel plays a ton of lax games, but my cab;e company doens't have it yet. Just wondering who out there is lucky enough to already have it.

The only way I know of to get it is through DirectTV, luckily it seems that most sports bars carry that system....as well as carrying beer, if you are into that sort of thing.

Yeah I have Direct tv and I have watched and taped most of the games on them; but espn u has this bad habit to skip parts of the game if they think it is going to long or going to mess with something like "spring football" who really cares about college football in the spring.

WeberLax, I understand your displeasure with ESPNU cutting parts out of games. Heck, If we got ESPNU (which I wish we did) I'd be mad too.

But 60,000 people showed up for Florida's spring game, 45,000 for Texas'. Plus people have been calling my office and complaining because we aren't writing enough stories about UW's spring practices. For some strange reason people are nearly as passionate about spring football as they are when fall camp opens.

wow I just figure that in the spring the teams wont even get there recruits yet because they are still in high school. another reason I might not really care is becuase my college has a terrible football team, but we might get better (one could only hope).

There is also a new channel by Fox being created (Fox Sports College) that is rumored to carry lacrosse also. Should be launched soon if not already.

Guess I'll just have to frequent the bar more than I normally do now.

When we played down in Lincoln, I looked over at the sideline and I noticed Nebraska Head Football Coach Bill Callahan standing there watching the game. I think it's safe to say I figured out the reason why he was there. As I am a very, very large fan of the Huskers, I was both excited that my favorite team's coach was standing there, and I was filled with rage at the fact that the person responsible for taking away my beloved option offense was in attendance(No offense Dan, I have faith he'll turn things around, but I was very sad to see the option die).

Down here at The U (Miami, FL) the football team sometimes has recruits that graduate H.S. early in order to play spring ball in preperation for the upcoming freshman season...Not sure if it happens a lot but I remember reading about it in the local paper recently.
