This sounds like a great way to get regular members to sign up for premium membership. Maybe I will now just so I can see if there is more on this in the "Premium Members Only" forum.

Was this letter about wanting to take on Landon or another top high school team?

not the top hs, but they instead have decided to move up to d1 next year, but continue to keep the current players on the roster. word has it they expect to challenge for the national championship next year.

Why stop at a silly NCAA championship? I think the MLL is going to announce Fort Collins as the next MLL city as part of their Westward Expansion.

Flip & the Rams are going big time. :P

I would hope that they pick Denver over Ft. Collins sense they are building a new stadium here just for soccer and lacrosse

If this is the case, I think thats how it should be done. Thats whats keeping most of the club teams in MDIA in my opinion. I'm sure a handful of the better MDIA teams could go D-I (talent wise) but some teams might not want to because of the fear of all these recruits coming in from highschool. The club players don't want to get displaced. If they're going D-I, they should keep their roster in tact. This is what college lacrosse needs. In the new Inside Lacrosse, Pietrimala (sp?) from Hopkins talks about how every aspect of lacrosse is blowing up (high school teams, girls teams in college, and professional) except for the men's college game. He makes the point that most schools have club teams but are having problems getting to varsity. This is a big step, and hopefully, more schools will take CSU's example (if the varsity thing is true).

I am pretty sure he is joking based on every other person in this thread poking fun of past topics discussed on these boards.
