Wowza! Who determines playing time? Any time we took more than 20 guys, it was like a brawl to determine who played...

Yeah, I hear ya. It's summer league... most guys want to get their money's worth in playing time. We have 10-16 guys show up for summer league games here, and half the guys never leave the field.

Although that looks like a great roster... I just don't see all 13 middies having a great time. I mean, its one thing watching your teammates at an MCLA program play so you can make nationals.. its another thing watching a bunch of guys you just met play all weekend while you watch.

Yeah, especially after dropping $400 to play...

After reading the team write-ups, it seems like this shootout is one for the ages. I need to go back.

Final thought here, has anyone ever asked anyone running the tourney to go live and post live video feeds on the internet? Perhaps run it like the MCLA championships this year? That would be sweet...(especially for days like today when nobody is in the office, except for me, of course)

We've had video coverage in the past, last year both e-Lacrosse and PLUM networks did it (see links on the 2007 homepage), but live coverage would require an internet cable, not just wi-fi, and that would be a challenge with most of these games taking place at city parks, not stadiums. We would welcome a video provider to come give it a shot, but I don't see the tournament investing to allow fans to just stay home.

This year we have added live statistics to the men's elite coverage, you can see them via a link on the elite homepage: http://www.vaillacrosse.com/2008/mens/elite/

I don't think it would detract from those individuals in the surrounding area--they would still come. It would give those of us who live a large distance away an opporunity to see the games...
