Help: Top Seed Success

I'm whipping together a tutorial on the selection process for the MCLA tournament for our readers (Lacrosse Magazine) and was hoping to include a factoid about the success (or lackthereof) of the top seed at the national championships.

I'll admit to not digging terribly deep on the web, but I was wondering if anyone could help me cobble together the top seeds in the tournament for the last decade or so and how they finished up?

Got 'em all now -- much thanks to fsusg, who had the tourney program:

2007
D-I: Top seed BYU; Winner #1 BYU
D-II: Top seed SJU; Winner #3 Montana

2006
D-I: Top seed CSU; Winner #1 CSU
D-II: Top seed San Diego; Winner #1 San Diego

2005
D-I: Top seed BYU; Winner #2 UCSB
D-II: Top seed San Diego; Winner #1 San Diego

2004
D-I: Top seed UCSB; Winner #1 UCSB

2003
D-I: Top seed UCSB; Winner #2 CSU

2002
D-I: Top Seed Sonoma; Winner #1 Sonoma

2001
D-I: Top seed Michigan; Winner #3 CSU

2000
D-I: Top seed Cal; Winner #6 BYU

1999
D-I: Top seed BYU; Winner #3 CSU

1998
D-I: Top seed BYU; Winner #2 Cal

1997
D-I: Top seed Arizona; Winner #4 BYU

Pretty sure that CSU was seeded #1 in 2003 and won the title and UCSB was seeded #1 in 2004 and won the title.

2001 Top Seed was Michigan.

Pretty sure that Top seed and winner for D2 in 2006 & 2005 was USD. That's as far back as D2 goes, tourney-wise.

UCSB was the #2 seed in 2003. CSU was #1 I think.

2005 top seed for D1 was BYU..... After FSU upset BYU in OT in the quarters -- UCSB beat Sonoma 8-7 in the final at NSC in Minnesota.

2005 top seed for D2 was San Diego... USD beat UVSC in the final game that year.

We were the #3 seed in 1999 and 2001. We were #2 in 2002 and 2003 (we wore green in the championship vs. UCSB).

Looks like the MCLA has it's own version of the NCAA's Princeton/Syracuse/Virginia/Hopkins. I don't see anyone other than Duke taking the NCAA's this year. Maybe Michigan can take the MCLA? A new champion for both leagues?

or maybe a Duluth-maybe a Duluth/Michigan final? Would that be different.
