Today I read an article about Duke on insidelacrosse.com and the last paragraph made me curious. Here it is:
"Somewhat unrelated, but think about this, lacrosse fans: VMI defeats Siena, which tops Loyola, which upsets Georgetown, which holds the only win over Duke. You could make the case for this as an example of how parity has come to college lacrosse."
VMI is ranked #53 of 57 teams on laxpower.com and Duke is #1
I wondered if any similar situations have occurred in the MCLA this season. These are the best I could come up with. If anyone else can think of any good ones please post.

Clemson over GA Tech
GA Tech over Lindenwood
Lindenwood over Utah
Utah over CSU
CSU over Minn-Duluth
Minn-Duluth over BYU
BYU is ranked #2 on Laxpower.com, #4 in poll
(Minn-Duluth is ranked #4 on Laxpower.com, #3 in poll)

Stonehill over URI
URI over BU
BU over Northeastern
Northeastern over UC Davis
UC Davis over Oregona State
Oregon State over Gonzaga

Stonehill is ranked #73 on Laxpower.com
Parity discussion... Just for fun

As the game continues to grow across the board, you will see more and more parity at all levels. Of course there still will be a few powerhouses at each level Div. 1,2,or 3 and in the MCLA, but each year I believe those programs are more likely to have upsets. Mainly because alot of great players fly under the radar or don't get recruited at all.

At least for the LSA ....
North Texas defeats Baylor
Baylor defeats Texas Tech
Texas Tech defeats North Texas
All three teams finish 4-2 in conference ... where playoff seeding had to be determined by point differential. At that, Baylor and TTU were tied, and ultimately Baylor took the playoff spot due to the head to head victory over TTU.
Although specific to the LSA, it's a bit analogous to the overall MCLA picture ... just reference some of the discussion about the last MCLA Div. 1 poll

Same scneario for the SELC-2...
App State beats Davidson
Davidson beats Charlotte
Charlotte beats App State
All teams finished 3-2 in regional play, Charlotte is the only one to make the SELC tourney by virtue of tie-breaker.
......
I may not have been paying that much attention, but I don't remember seeing this as much last year.

Or pick warm weather schools where lacrosse does not consume their entire college life...
