Drew was actually pretty funny in between takes, he pulled the Happy Gilmore 'The Price is Wrong.." a few times.

This brought something to my mind after checking it out...Danny, do you actually know any of the guys?

In college, I had a couple fraternity brothers bomb down there and get on the show. One of my brothers got on stage and actually won a car. Didn't make it to the showcase showdown though.

A former boss got on as well, won a popcorn maker, then won the showcase showdown.

Just curious if anybody else knows people who have been on that show...

In 1998, a former CSU laxer got all the way to the Showcase Showdown. He won some crappy assortment of chocolates or something in the initial line-up, lost miserably in his game, somehow got through to the Showcase Showdown and then mercifully lost by calling 1-6-7-5-8, or something ridiculous. The worst part was that he couldn't even take home his chocolates because he used a fake ID to get on the show!

A friend of mine went with a group in summer of 2005 and one of the guys won BOTH of the showcases with a ridiculously accurate guess on the prices.

Bling bling.

One of my good friends at Wheaton was actually on the show today (his name is Cory). He went down for spring break as well, but it aired today. He's on the Wheaton soccer team, and Drew loved that (I believe he's a part owner of the Seattle MLS expansion team). He won a grandfather clock to get on stage and then won 6 thousand dollars. It was pretty cool, and being a small school it was the talk of the campus today.

Carey is and his two stipulations for joining the ownership group were: 1) that the team have a marching band and 2) that fans will be able to buy memberships from the team so as to have a say so in team decisions like voting on the GM position every four years.

we tried to do the same thing on our recent trip to Cali, but underestimated the LA traffic and they wouldn't hold our tickets... I'll be sure to tell Phil to watch his Gator buddies on Friday though.

i know a good portion of the team....scary thing is that there are kids on the team that are seniors that i coached in HS (actually last year's college seniors were the first group i coached in HS).

I don't want to ruin it, but the UF kid who got picked did well and won some interesting stuff...

It was also a convenient excuse to get rid of his LA season tix-as he didn't want to come straight out and say "even with Beckham-they suck"

Had a UT Alum on Jeopardy a couple of years ago, Bronson Messer. He lost in Final Jeopardy, after building a considerable lead, when he spelled Nostalgia....Nostaglia.

"You have disrespected me and the entire Nostaglia family, and for that you must pay."
