Varadarajan said their intention is to explode the interest of cricket particularly in colleges and high schools to eventually revolve around inter institution competition. “ We need to have college scholarships for cricket,” he declared, pointing out that insignificant sport disciplines like lacrosse offers scholarships at prestigious universities like Colombia.

Sounds to me like the Little Brothers of War should unite against his cricket backside!

Columbia offers lax scholarships?

Wonder if the guy spoke "Colombia" as if he really meant "Columbia". Since the article was dated March 8, I wonder if this guy had been hearing so much about the tense war of words between Venezuela, Ecuador and Colombia that he just said "Colombia". Or if the writer must have been thinking "Colombia" while doing this story.

They're not. They play in the NCLL.

Too bad you can't comment on the article on that website.

I love my cricket! Watching is like tailgating for days on end. Andrew Symonds is my favourite. Bradman and Boonie would be proud of this move from the India test in Brisbane earlier this week. Good on ya, Roy!
