I'm guessing because the person who posted the 2nd time didn't read the first posting and since the links are posted in two differing ways, the 2nd person didn't realize the link had already been posted. I of course was wondering the same thing at first as well.

Well, if you haven't noticed, gobblerlax05 is not the sharpest tool in the shed and his posts are usually a garbled mess. The fact that he re-posted an article is not surprising.

Cant argue with that, and based on his postings I would have to agree with you 100%!! This is a good example of a persons brain on drugs! LOL

Finally, the Saintly Chevy Car salesman swoops down from the clouds to offer his opinion on the matter.

I don't know, Sonny. Like the article says, many consider him to be the face of Duke. And in many regards, he his. Although he is just the Basketball coach, I am suprised it took him this long to weigh in on the topic. He has to know his power in that establishment, and know that people would likely listen to what he has to say rather than Richard Brodhead.

From the Coach K story,
'We're with you. We'll see what happens, and whatever happened if you did it, you should be punished,'" he added. "Giving support does not mean you're choosing sides. Giving support is what a university should do ... because we're in the kid business." --Coach K.
Does anyone else feel, as I do, that Duke University completely dropped the ball on this? I understand suspensions of students indicted of a felony but the school did not give any of the players presumption of innocence. I also feel that this is an effort by Coach K, as the face of the University, to rewrite history. The case against the players is hanging by a thread and I think the Univeristy would love to spin the angle that they have been behind the players the whole way.

Who in their right mind would want to attend a school where you are presumed guilty until proven innocent?!?!?

I read it more as that he was distancing himself from the University. He said he wasn't the president, on the board of trustees, and didn't want to be. It sounds to me more like a jab at the President and the actions of the University, especially considering the support he showed for Pressler. Then again, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Keep in mind that a few of these guys contributed to many instances of "disorderly conduct" unbecoming of the university. I don't think the administration was ready to support these guys given their past. I think, in this case, it was the straw that broke the camels back...

You mean the 800lb gorilla that broke the camel's back?
It's not like this was their 3rd strike on being accused of sexual assault. There is quite a large jump from drunk in public to sexual assault.
