As most of y'all already know about the quarterfinal results-
Virginia 20 Gltown 8
I still feel the the Cavs can't be stopped, yet 'Cuse may be able to stay close with them. However. UVa is so balanced.
Maryland 11 Princeton 6
For Cottle, it will be the monkey off his back as he finally figured out Tierney. YET, UMass showed they can climb out of a 6 goal deficit against Hofstra yesterday. Just for the sake of something different, I would pick the Minutemen over the Terps.
The question is would ESPN and CSTV prefer a UVa-Maryland championship game?
Salisbury and Cortland appeared to have won tintialling games today.

OUch - 2W, 2L - but Who could have predicted a senior-laden team giving up a 5 goal lead with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter!
Anyway....
Md. v. Umass
UVA v. Syracuse
Hmm.....

Yeah, two oranges and two reds. That would be better than having 3 oranges and 1 red.

Can UVA be stopped? Watching a few of their games this year I am so impressed how well everything is working for them. Goalie is amazing, middies dominating, defense shutting everyone down, and attack, well they are good too to say the least.
Its going to be hard to stop them.
i cant wait to watch them play in philly

Depth is the biggest weakness for Virginia. They appear to not play alot of bodies - especially at middy (which I find amusing). If it is as hot as weather cast suggests, this may impact them if their opponent can burn their offensive midfield's legs via forcing them to play defense. But the additional TV Timeouts may negate this potential weakness. And this might not even show up until Monday...
And I'm not totally sold on any of the goalies in this Final 4.

What do you all think about UMass's win over Maryland? We finally have a team coming out of the New England region getting into the title game.
It is no surprise that UVa thoroughly dominated Syracuse in every facet of the game, so the Cavaliers are the overwhelming favorites. However, we can not count out UMass with Sean Morris and that amazing frosh goalie, Doc. I would go ahead on a limb to pick UMass since it would be nice to have an unseeded team win it all.
To top it off, today's games set a new NCAA Div. 1 lacrosse attendance record! 49k is quite amazing, so it will be interesting to see how many will be in attendance Monday.
Maryland did not really show up in their game today as they were like deer caught in the headlights; the Turtles did not gamble or take risks. UMass deserves the credit for bringing the "A" game. I must admit that that first semifinal was a little bit boring whereas the UVa-Syracuse was naturally an exciting game with a twist- not much of a suspense with the Orange still trailing.
Let's discuss...

I am happy for UMass and new blood in the finals but I think they are going to lose to UVA by 4-5 goals. They look awesome on offense and Kip Turner played well today.
But UMass did a wonderful job on Walters and Co today.

If UMass' D and their freaking incredible goalie play good then it will be 4-5 goal victory for UVa. If they dont then its probably going to be 9-10 goal victory.
Personally I would love to see UMass win it but being realistic I can't see a way.
