I couldn't help but notice the picture of the Western Michigan and St. John's players. The Western Michigan player has been identified, but the St. John's player is John MaCarthy, and man immortalized in St. John's lacrosse lore. That picture was my desktop for the longest time...what amazes me is you can actually see the long pole bending :shock:

I will give the Cliff Note's version.

We were taking fake action shots so that myself and another guy on the team could hopefully use them for our web site design my freshmen year (2001). We got an idea for one but had to find someone. Actually someone sort of lost a bet/did something he should not have so somehow someone talked him into taking that pic.

I love it as it has a great up close hit plus "Craw", our old rasta-Goalie is in it. You can't tell in the pic but he has dreads since 1997, down to his waist. Also, that was an old hockey helmet as it was the only helmet that would fit his head until refs my sophomore year made him get an actual lacrosse helmet. Luckily, one of the guys at Iowa State (we were at their old fall tourney) had an old frog-style helmet that was an XXL or something and it barely fit on his head so he gave it to Craw.

Craw can still be found in Iowa City working odd jobs and in a band with a current/soon to be ex-Hawkeye, Matt Larson (some in GRLC know him as the crazy defensemen on Iowa with a long beard and mohawk). Hopefully I can post an mp3 of their band doing a cover of RATM's "Killing In The Name" that they played at a concert last fall.
