Anyway.... A and B as well can compete with Div III, II and I. Not all of them.... I'm not saying Mines can beat BC, Duke, Harvard, etc., (ha ha)but still some teams can compete over the border....

Statements such as this are just so ridiculous. No, USLIA teams cannot compete with D1 teams...please stop saying they do/can. In saying so, the level of respect the lacrosse world has for us diminishes at a record pace. Colorado was the only USL-MDIA team to beat Whittier this year and they are D3 and finished with an 8-7 record. STOP THE MADNESS!!!! In addition, you lump in BC with Harvard and Duke????

Wow- didn't know you were that touchy- It's not the end of the world here.... O and yes they can compete....and win....and I threw in BC because my cousin goes there....so ha....and don't freak out on an internet site....wow.....

There aren't any because he realises there isn't a chance in hell an ALL-MDIA team could compete, even against Bellarmine.

Vail 2005: Rock-it Pocket vs. Team 21 aka Cornell

Yeah, that's summer ball, but a win is a win.

I have my own opinions on this matter and this thread really isn't the place to discuss them.

It is nice to see club guys getting PT in the pros. Good luck to Alex and all the other club guys playing pro ball. I am jealous.

Well, that's a nice try. Team 21 was seeded lower than RIP so it was not a surprise that they lost. In addition, the best players on RIP were from Ohio State and Rutgers.

You know, IMO that sounds even less believable than saying that a win is a win in the consolation bracket of the tourney.

WOW, talk about a thread hijack...starts out with the quick wit of Alex Smith and takes a wrong turn in Albuquerque and now we are talking about whether some USL MDIA team in Vail, which featured some DI players, if their wins against ex-DI players were legit or not.

I was thinking the same thing. Congrats to Alex. You are a great goalie and an inspiration to MDIA goalies and beyond. Good luck on the rest of the season.
