I found this pic from your alumni game while looking for a pic of that "trophy"... I think we know who emptied out the keg the night before. :D

Also, we are traveling to Lindenwood (Feb 24) for what should be a good weekend of Lacrosse with Lindenwood, Northeastern, Oakland and Minnesota all playing each other.

I can't wait for that weekend, there should be some great competitive play going on. Plus its the only real all lacrosse weekend we are having at home this year, since the GRLC finals are up by Chicago.

I am already making plans to be at the BYU CSU game. If I do make it I will be more than happy to leave my phone # for updates like the last time.

a good game this year on the East Coast i think will be the Georgia- Georgia Tech game played at Chatahoochee high school

this should be a good game cause we split the 2 games we played last year and also a instate rival

thats my two cents

arkansas??

Postby danza on Fri Jan 20, 2006 1:42 am

i dont know how many people are anticipating it but the first ever arkansas vs. arkansas lacrosse game is gonna be this year... previously arkansas had exactly one lacrosse team... this year its Harding University vs. University of Arkansas on march 25th...
its a big step for the sport in this area and gonna be a big draw comparatively to a regular game...

Nope. It's a real school and one of the better lax programs in the North Atlanta suburbs:

Yeah, I figured. I was just kidding. We have some pretty goofy names around here, too.

I don't know about goofy. It's an Indian name and the name of a major river in GA/AL that doubles as a major water source for many in the Southeast.

Perhaps I needed to say "It sounds goofy," although it probably doesn't sound goofy to you because you're used to hearing it.

It's kind of like Minnesota, where the have names like Minnetonka (now infamous for the Vikings raiding party) Shakopee and Wayzata. Minnesotans use these to weed out the foreigners, who come in pronouncing thigs like Shack-o-pee and Way-za-ta, when we all know it should be Shock-o-pee and Why-zeta. The locals laugh.

Waunakee? Wausau? Oconomowoc?

Wisconsin's got MN beat for nearly impossible to pronounce city names

The Texas Tech/ Texas A&M battle goes down this weekend at a neutral site in Plano, TX. Both teams (although not officially a rivalry by both schools) typically use this game to gauge themselves, and it's never without a lot of heart and well-heated lacrosse play.
