Now who is #2 maybe WCLL, maybe CCLA

Making a statement like this shows that you are hugely unaware of history or facts and I know that I am probably wasting my time here, but. . . .

You can say that again Catlaxman.
2001 national tournament:
RMLC 3 teams WCLL 5 teams
2002:
RMLC 2 teams WCLL 6 teams
2003:
RMLC 3 teams WCLL 5 teams
2004:
RMLC 3teams WCLL 4 teams

It seems clear the the RMLC is BYU and CSU and and to much lesser extent Colorado (who has a record of 2-7 in St Louis). The WCLL, on the other hand, has had the following 8 teams make the national championship tournament in the last 4 years: UCSB , Sonoma, Cal, Stanford, Chico, Cal Poly, Arizona, Chapman.
The WCLL and the RMLC are still light years ahead of the rest of the MDIA. The RMLC has the edge in championship teams (5-3) and the WCLL has the overwhelming edge in depth. No other conferences have ever won an MDIA championship and with the exception of the 1999 Simon Fraser team, no team outside the RMLC or the WCLL has even played for the national title.

the selc has put 7 different teams in st. louis and wins a least a first round game every year. routinely has 5+ teams in the top 25 just doesn't have the heavey hitters. Obviously the real debate is over who is #3.

You are all debating the top half of this "poll," but a few people have placed the PCLL right after the GRLC. I think if you look at just the nationals, GRLC hasn't yet won a game in St. Louis (although Mizzou played a really close game with Sonoma on day one last year) and lost to the PCLL team last year. I think the two conferences are very close, but looking at that history by itself would flip the two.

I guess I am ranking mine on potential for this year. This is all total opinion as no games have really been played with a little bias by me for have played on a GRLC Team. I think GRLC could improve alot this year with Illinois and Lindenwood looking stronger this year along with Mizzou.

I would not call Sonoma's 13-6 thumping of Missouri a "really close game".

It was actually a lot closer than that. I think the majority of that spread was in the final quarter. I think it was only 1 or 2 goals at half.

If 13-6 is really close for a lacrosse game, then my high school GPA of 2.2 was really close to making me valedictorian.

Again, the SCORE wasn't close, but the game itself was.

I'm sure if you ask the Sonoma players, they will say they weren't playing well. That is how it always goes. You can't win games if you decide not to play in the fourth quarter.

i think it is to close between WCLL and RMLC, both conferences are very strong. yes i agree the RMLC only has five A division teams, but usually three out of those five (this year maybe four) are usually higher teired teams. overall both leagues know how to play lax and it will be interesting to see over the next few years what other conferences step more into the scene. SELC, CCLA maybe?

If you want to be really exact, the RMLC should have 7 Div A teams....or atleast 6...Boise was forced down and Wyoming wanted to play down.
