I can forthrightly and honestly admit that I'm hardly a student of this case, but at this point even a conviction won't convice me they did it.

Racial politics and Jessie Jackson have ruined the credibility of this case in my eyes.

A jury conviction doesn't mean you did anything, it means 12 picked individuals (albeit the best informed 12 individuals) thought that you did it beyond their own resonable doubt. After they have had at least 2 master-of-trade lawyers try to warp their skulls for a few months

Lowest of the low= Black female prostitute Vs. highest of the high= Rich white man + racial and political signifigance equals a case determined more by the situation than the factuality of the crime itself.

So let me get this straight. Rich, white men are the best society has to offer? You never cease to amaze me with your logic.

Not to speak for Landon but I'm pretty sure that he was referring to the media's representation of the case. From day one, this case was framed in a social context that portrayed a poor, black woman as a victim of abuse by rich, white males and what many fear is that a jury trial would be turned into a referendum on supposed inequities in the judicial system rather than a fair hearing of the facts of the case. No, white males are not necessarily the best that our society has to offer but they do deserve a fair trial in front of an impartial jury of their peers. Of course, that is all assuming that this political hack of a DA continues to ignore the evidence and sound logic and continues on with this ridiculous legal masquerade.
