I can only speak for the LSA. As league director, I invited every single team to the summer MCLA meeting to witness how the sausage was made. One person showed up and we put him on a committee.
The Executive Board is not made up of untouchables that are distant from you. You can reach anyone of us through uslmida.org/about. Every single board member is identified with an email link.
The Board is not "just" an anything. The board is made up of Division B teams, A teams, friends of the game, professional administrators, and some retired coaches. The majority of the board is not from tournament teams.
We are all accountable for the budget for our individual teams, our conferences, and our league. If you need more information feel free to contact me directly or any other member of the board. These are exciting times and we would love to talk to you.

After listening to Sonny's podcast with JP, I understand a little better what is going on. I know that the relationship with USL was not always what was wanted and might have just been a means to a end for the past 6 years or so.
I understand start-up costs and the initial growing pains but it seems we have been growing for years now. I hope that the MCLA, moving forward, has learned from the past, since most of the EB seems to have been there for awhile and we do not repeat the problems of the past. Paid help, is exactly that and requires funding and I am all for that as long as it is for the good of all teams. This is a time for unity, not diversity, as our game only gets bigger.
Do not allow the smaller teams, whether they be A or B to get lost in the shuffle. It is better to lend a hand than it is to cast people away. I still think that there is parity in the B Division at this point and a 16-team national playoff can be achieve as soon as this year.
I agree also that communication is the biggest factor that is lacking at this point. The MCLA board should be able to produce their own documentation and transcription for publication and not just to depend on the league reps to disseminate the information to the member schools. I know that I am not the only one who thought that the MCLA came out of nowhere and as member schools we were told if we don't like it we should start our own conference. Not the best way to go about it. All we are looking for is a little transparency.
