1000th member...

Postby bbandlax on Tue Apr 26, 2005 12:25 pm

I think that the 1000th member should be a special occasion. At the moment the lucky member joins here's what I envision:

- Streamers, balloons and confetti falling from the ceiling, along with a disco ball and sirens.
- Sonny comes walking out of the closet (no symbolism intended) holding gifts from his special "lacrosse closet" (i.e. old practice jerseys from GA Tech)
- Alex hops out from under the desk (wearing only a CSU thong) with a big congratulations poster and a free "Premium Member" certificate.
- Other admin and moderators jump out of the bathroom with noise makers and party hats.
- CATLAX MAN and DG will show up in the back yard with a grill for dogs and brats (only root beer for beverages).
- The freaky "Burger King" appears at the window with a plate full of hamburgers
- JP can give a long winded speech while everyone ignores him because they are trying to shoot the cat the farthest or hit the penguin the longest on the new members computer

I have only been at work for an hour but you my friend might have posted the thing that made my day.

Good work. If you were a link, I would post you in the Water Cooler.

Maybe for some!! :D And I don't own any of those thongs, anyway. Kale Nelson stole them all and the thought of HIM in one of them is even more scary . . .
Always on point . . .

How about a crystal ball going down with the USLIA logo and the 1,000th member under the logo with the lights flashing all over? All of the 999 USLIA.com members will shout 17...16...15...14..., etc.

Well, bbandlax tops all of that! That is quite a very creative and humorous post! Hand wave.

Jessexy, of course!

I'll bring a grill, but we'll also be ordering pizza from Arinell in Berkeley.

We now have 994 members, and we have 6 more to go. The question now is will the magic number hit 1,000 tonight or tomorrow.

It will be a month until we hit 1000. It will sit on 999 because everyone will hold out for the big 1000 :)
