Take a look at the impact that freshman are having at Michigan this year, Evan Fox from Suffern is blowing away the scoring leader board, Krauss and Morales are both Michigan HS products. While Krauss' HS team was OK, they didn't make the finals in the state tournament. Morales' team (Brother Rice) is almost always the top team in the state. I had a discussion on the CCLA forum where someone said that Morales would dominate because of his heritage. My reply was that if Krauss played for Brother Rice he would have been as good or better. Stats from this year are proving my point.
That said, these boys are not of the calibre of the top HS programs and players. While a small handful of MDIA teams (CSU at the top) would play even with the best HS's, schools such as St. John's would get handled easily. There's not that much difference physically, and skills rule the day on the field. It's easy to pass away before a bodycheck, and if your team is all skilled, no problem.
At least this discussion is more appropriate than one comparing USLIA to D1 programs, where there is no comparison. Sorry guys!

Sorry Dude, but I figured everybody should get one swing at the topic.
You do have the option of not looking at the thread if it annoys you that much!

Matt,

being from LI, and having beaten IROC's down rte. 347, I remember Mandible's post with a big smile. Thanks for the good memory.

I vaguely recall that post. Did it have any mention of FLIDs?

Although it is irrelevant, in HS, our team played against St. Paul's (Baltimore, MD) when they were ranked #1 in the country and from what comparisons (if any) that I can draw, I think they would have beaten many USLIA teams, but still not many of the top programs (CSU, BYU, UCSB, etc).

ya thats because Monte Vista kids think they are the best at everything in the world, danville is a little bubble and they think nuthing else exsist, they would get smoked by pretty much every top 25 team

also i went to a pretty good high school in nor cal and i know they we would have killed all of the division b teams i have seen this year, its not even close, and in high school we actually did scrimmage santa clara and beat them, and also we play Calvert Hall my senior year when they had Kevin Huntly(starting attack for Hopkins now, had 4 goals agianst Duke) and i know they would beat all of the division A teams except maybe the top 5 and those would be good games
