Player of the Week nominations?

The criteria for selecting the CollegeLAX MCLA Player of the Week is a MCLA player who honors the game of lacrosse through superior play and superior sportsmanship. Head coaches are encouraged to nominate outstanding players who exhibit fine sportsmanship who otherwise may not show up on the stat sheet.

The nomination must come from the team's head coach in writing via e-mail to CollegeLAX Webmaster Sonny Pieper, by the specified deadline. It is also recommended that, at a minimum, the team have access to at least one head shot and/or good action game photo of the player being nominated.

Nominations should be concise (150 words or less) and explain why the nominee is worthy of this award. Please include exact team game results from the past week of play plus any weekly player stats for the player in question. The nomination should also include the up-to-date contact information (phone and email) for the team's head coach.

The winning player will be announced each Friday on the web site by way of a feature article by one of the CollegeLAX writers. The chosen player will receive a prize pack from CollegeLAX for being selected as the Player of the Week.
