Sorry, I didn't have a phone with me. I left Invesco with under a minute to play and CSU led 13-5. The Rams dominated every aspect of the game. It will take a very solid effort by someone to beat CSU in the tourney.

Any idea on how many people were at the game? Were there any players that dominated the game? It won't be as easy on the Buff's home field next week.

I would guess there 1,500+ for the Creek/Kent game at 5pm. By the opening face-off of the CU/CSU game there was probably double that.

CSU dominated every aspect of the game. CU was hurt by very average goal-tending the first half. I counted one save in the first half for CU.

I think the difference in CSU now as opposed to early in the season is you have many more guys that contribute. Early in the season Bird and Stevens were really the only known entities on offense. Now you get great play from Stone at attack and MacDonald and Lundberg at the midfield. CSU was up 6-1 at the half without a point from Bird.

I thought there were two big differences between CU and CSU...speed and goaltending. Advantages in both categories go to CSU. CU has nobody that could create their own shot tonight. They have some very good shooters, but they had a hard time finding the space to get a shot off. And the goaltending killed them in the first half.

I know the tourney is in Boulder, but after tonight I would be absolutely shocked if we don't see BYU/CSU in two weeks.

No official numbers yet, but there were at least 5,000 people there and I'm thinking it could have been closer to 6,000 at its peak. CU and CSU were both very well represented (at least in numbers) in the stands. The CU fans filtered out as the score widened and it started to drizzle, but they really did a great job of getting people out to the game. It was a great event and we hope to continue it in the future.
