UCSB 10, Arizona State 7 FINAL (Sun, 4/9/06)
ASU leads 2-1 after one quarter. UCSB tied the game but the goal was waived off because the goalie's stick was broken?

3-2 Granelli scores twice for UCSB. In the second quarter, UCSB leads 3-2.

UCSB scores from #44, Granelli, making it 2-2! Flag down and goal allowed. Penalty on ASU but lots of discussion by the referees on how to rule. End up with Man Up for the Gauchos for 30 seconds.
Possesion has been roughly even this quarter with UCSB taking many failed shots on goal.

Glad to help out. On Granelli's 2nd goal there was an assist from Nick Schooler.
Keenan Tabusa scores with an assist from Luke Shaw. It's now 4-2 and UCSB just won the face-off. Things seem to be going better for the Gauchos now!

Jack Miller scores off an assist from Nick Stratton to make it 5-2 within a few seconds of haltime.
UCSB are reportedly looking a little more in charge although still not on their best game, taking more shots on goal though. ASU is playing sloppy and starting to drop the ball.

UCSB scores 2 more!
Masada takes an unassisted lefthand shot. UCSB wins the face-off, fast break to Lewis Kubitz drives to the goal and scores! Welcome back Lewis, we've missed you!

The phone keeps ringing!
Cache Jones scores to make it 10-4!
We're missing a goal here somewhere but I'm assured that's the current score on the scoreboard. Maybe the disallowed goal from earlier was allowed?
Gauchos are taking control of the game.

End of the 3rd.
Kubitz scores again assisted by Damon Conklin-Moraigne.
Score is now 10-4, our on site reporters report some kind of kerfuffle about the score which might account for our discrepant goal of the last post.

I think the rule on the disallowed goal is that time must be called immediately, if the goalie's equipment is broken.
