Is this game being covered?

I'm wondering if they are going to get this in. It's raining now and has been raining the last couple of days. If they play where scheduled, it will be a mudpit. I'm wondering if the school will allow them to use the field. Anyone have any info on whether the game is being played as scheduled?

I'm sorry, but the WCLL has a rule prohibiting teams from other conferences scouting WCLL teams. You will be denied admision to the game.

One thing the WCLL doesn't do is share game film outside the league...or at least historically they have not.

I saw video of the CSU v. Sonoma game last night. The field was a mess back then (wet, mud, tall grass) and it has rained pretty much every day since then.
Sonoma St does not seem to care what happens to the lacrosse field, they just play regardless of the conditions.

The UCSB v. Colorado game has been moved to the UCSB artificial turf field due to very wet conditions in Santa Barbara.

CATLAX MAN will also be phoning in reports to me so we'll hear things from two perspectives this time. Good luck to both teams in their mudbowl!!

It rained last night a bit here in Rohnert Park, and the field will be a mess, but Sonoma State loves the mud and will be playing with a vengeance, although UCSB will undoubtedly bring their A game also. The game is being played as scheduled at 3:00 PT and the rematch of the 2005 National Championship game is bound to be one of the biggest of the year so far. Good luck to both sides.

Refreshing my Treo 650 on this thread while driving home in traffic should be a fun filled endeavor......

Maybe I should just wait until I'm home, or just not leave work?

I would, but missing Friday to go coach against JP's Men In Blue will put me behind enough!

Well, it was an amazing mudbowl game. UCSB went up 6-5 with about 5 minutes left in the game but little mistakes hurt the Gauchos. Sonoma came back to take the lead 7-6. It was really a one goal game but Sonoma got an empty netter right at the end to make the final 8-6. I actually thought it was pretty stupid to shoot instead of running out the clock. These teams were really pretty evenly matched. It was never more than a one goal game either way until the empty netter at the end. The field was an absolute disaster. It is supposed to rain tomorrow and then Sonoma plays Oregon on Friday and Oregon plays Cal Poly on Sat and SSU and CalPoly play on Sunday.
I took a picture of the box and crease after the goals were removed.
