Come on people....

Am I off my rocker or does it seem that at the end of a game where the the favorite is stuggling, we don't ever find out the final until hours later. If they are winning big there are posts every 2 seconds, but if the favorite is losing, or lost, we just see blank screens....please...

Or if the favorite wins we hear all about the game from the loyal fans, but if they lose...no one provides some information on the game...

I think that it was 16-15. In any case, Chapman won by 1. I was at the game and WOW. It's amazing how much the level of play has grown in this league from even just 3-4 years ago.

I will say that Chapman put on a great exercise on what not to do in the final 2 minutes with the lead. They must have missed 3 or 4 shots on goal when they were up by 1 and 2 goals, giving BYU lots of chances to come back.

I miss playing. Off to the bars...

I think Oaks is right either 16-15 or 15-14 but Chapman won just a slugfest as the anouncer said back and forth all game long I don't know if the lead was ever more than two by either team.

Yes...Chapman has some of the most talented players in the league. This is Chad's team, those recruiting classes are now starting to pay off.

Should have gone to the game. Congrats to Chapman. Great win.

Zamboni,

Actually, it is more a function of the network of the teams that are playing. Some teams post more than others because they have fans that will arrange to text or call someone who is at a computer.

First of all, congratulations to Chapman for a very strong win. What an incredible game to watch. 16-15 final, and the tension level was very high on every posession.

This was the best game (in terms of skill level) that I have seen in the MCLA. I will definitely have some color...but I've been up for 20+ hours and need to get some sleep. Here are my top 3-4 points, at least as it relates to Chapman.

-Chapman is for real. You could tell that in the middle of the first quarter. Farinelli in particular was very good. I heard he was a little sick. If that's the case, I wonder what he plays like when he's feeling well. Does he ping corners on the dead run from 15 yards out instead of the 12 he was hitting from tonight? I don't mean to imply, by the way, that he's a one man show there. They had a group of very strong shooters, and excellent finishers.

-Chapman shared the ball on offense. I don't have the stats in front of me, but they seemingly had a high percentage of assisted goals.

-Chapman's long poles can handle. That was key vs. BYU's ride.

-Chapman's FOGO was the difference in the game. He had every move in the book and used them all successfully.

I'll try to chime in with more tomorrow or Monday when I get home.

Too much pressure on BYU to be the unstoppable, soon to be, supposed D1 team?

With the support teams like BYU and Michigan have they really shouldn't be losing many games but I guess that's why you have to play the games not win them on paper.

From what I have heard Chapman got some serious help from the three transfers from CU. The face off guy is Chris Smalls who was a freshman last year at Colorado, he would have had a great season, but was sidelined with injuries. Congrats on the big win

Small comes up BIG

Postby scoot88 on Sun Feb 17, 2008 7:06 pm

Just to set the record straight... it's Chris Small - no "s". It's wrong on pretty much every website, including Chapman's.
