Marcus Sylva scores

SFU 10
Noma 9

2 mins left in the game. Both teams just requested stick checks on the other teams. SFU did it cause they have no time outs and are using it as such. I guess

This was one terrific lacrosse game! SFU looked phenomenal in the first twently minutes, and the barrage of goals just kept coming while SSU looked shell-shocked like they couldn't believe anybody could do that to them. But 'Noma is a very good team themselves, and after a Clan goal with 11:15 remaining in the half the Seawolves defense took over. Sonoma shut out SFU for the next thirty-five minutes, while they slowly crept back into the game. Credit Coach Gomez for making some key adjustments on both ends. Towner's goal with 9:24 left stopped the bleeding, and SFU just barely hung on with 'Noma attacking the goal at the very end. These teams were very evenly matched, and the defensive intensity and physicality by both teams was truly awe-inspiring, especially in the fourth quarter. Great coaching all around, great focus by the players on both sides and a thrilling, nail-biter of a game that looked like it was going to be a blowout early. Wow, I'm really drained...

Thanks to Brauck and Steno for posting the updates.

WOW

SFU with the torrid 8-1 start, only to win 10-9 in a nailbiter.

I'm sure SFU will be happy they just beat the #9 team that beat the #2 team, but will be disappointed that Sonona almost completed the comeback.
