CU scored again (didn't get the number but he thinks it was #5) but UCSB answered back with a goal by #6 Nick Schooler assisted by Shaw. 6-3 UCSB and it is now raining. 7 minutes to halftime.

OK, 8-4 UCSB at the half. CU goal by #6. UCSB goals by #10 Nick Stratton and #44 George Granelli.
UCSB offense is controlling the ball and they look pretty good. UCSB has done surprisingly well on faceoffs. Time of possession favors UCSB.
The rain has stopped for now.

Still 9-4 UCSB. 2 minutes left in the third quarter.
My source is going to try to talk some CU parents to see if CU is off their game. UCSB has not played Colorado recently so we have nothing to compare. Trying to get another perspective. CU beat Whittier on Wednesday.
9-4 UCSB leading after 3 quarters.

It will be interesting to see how the young Gauchos will finish this game. That is something that they have struggled with this year. That is where experience really makes a difference. Having played so many of these close games already this year, their young players are getting a crash course.

Didn't SB play CU last year? I think they stole away a game they should've lost in the final moments if memory serves me right.

10-4 UCSB. Stratton #10 scored for the Gauchos. He now has a hit trick.
CU parents say that the Buffs look tired. Maybe the travel and game vs. Whittier took something out of them.
The game has gotten sloppy and chippy as the Buffs are frustrated.

CU Tired?
CU has a tendency to shorten the bench in important games. Often leads to tired players.

12-4 UCSB. Stratton #10 for UCSB got his 4th goal EMO. Luke Shaw with his 4th goal.
The game has gotten ugly with alot of cheap shots. UCSB #32 Paul Coleman was injured off the ball leading to the EMO.

13-4 UCSB. #4 Masato Takashita scored for UCSB. It will be very difficult for the Gauchos to blow this lead.
