That illegal stick penalty was sure costly for Utah. Might be the difference for their Plano hopes.

UMD kills another 30 in OT.

Utah gets a shot off a settle set of O.

UMD has the ball, checked out of his hands back to Utah.

Offsides on Utah, UMD ball. 102 remaining.

Flag down a SECOND FLAG DOWN!

Two penalties on Utah late in the first OT.

Same player gets a slash, and a hold.

40 seconds to go. 90 second man up for Duluth.

# 10 Goertz with a lefty shot to the top shelf, wins it with 28 seconds to go for UMD!

Big win for the bulldogs, way to represent the Midwest!

Does anyone know which Duluth player was injured? Or how bad it was?

#21 Jon Prokop took a hard hit in the 4th at the end of regulation. He should be ok, just a little sore. No major injuries to report. Great game from Utah, greatest game I have ever been a part of.

I wonder how much the OT game last night with Cal Poly took out of Utah. It was a pretty fast turn around. 2 OT games in less than 20 hours. Those guys must be exhausted and they still have to play Washington tomorrow.

Thanks for the report to those that could add,
Bluevelvet,
It probably made the game a little more tired for Utah, but I can't imagine it is any worse then the road weary bodies from duluth. If only the WCLL would travel as everyone else has to.

Well, we'll find out when Duluth plays Cal Poly on Sunday. Maybe the OT game on Sat. won't bother UMD. It is pretty rare to play 2 OT games in less than 20 hours. BTW, Cal Poly is in the WCLL and they traveled to the tournament in Seattle.
