Dan McDonald score one for SSU to bring them one goal closer at 7-6 CSU.

It appears that the defenses are struggling today.

At the Half:

CSU - 7
SSU - 6

Lots of up and down action. None of the goals have been EMOs. Sonoma twice had a 2 man up situation and couldn't cash in. CSU could score on their opportunities either. Still got to wonder if SSU will be able to maintain this pace with their somewhat short bench.

CSU strikes quickly at the beginning of the 3rd quarter getting a goal from Lee Cates to make it 8-6 in favor of the Rams/Pirates.

CSU is going man up now for 1:00 on a slashing call on SSU defenseman Blair Turley. Mid 3rd quarter now.

Sonoma successfully kills the penalty and exchanges a couple of possessions before Ryan MacDonald of CSU puts CSU ahead 9-6.

In an unsettled situation, Brian Alexander of SSU picks up a loose ball in front of the cage and buries it. 9-7 CSU in the 3rd.

Sonoma gains possession on the faceoff and scores again. Goal by Mark Arjam assisted by Brian Johnson. It's now 9-8 CSU.

I'm thinking here that Flip must be loving this type of game.

Beginning of the 4th quarter now and Cito Williams of SSU scores an unassisted goal to knot the game at 9-9. They've played a little over 45 minutes of gametime and are right back to where they've started. The SSU couch denizens were very loud in the backround of that last call.

SSU's Dan McDonald scores and was assisted by the unknown player as SSU forges out in front by a count of 10-9 in the 4th quarter. So far, there seems to be no sign of slow down at all from either team.

How many times has CSU EVER given up four unanswered goals?

In an unsettled situation in front of the SSU crease, CSU picks up a loose ball and scores to tie the game at 10-10. Not sure how much time is left, but there can't be much time left. Are they headed to a repeat of last year's 3OT game?

Edit: Just got a report that there is 5:00 minutes left and SSU has called time out. Hold on to your seats. This has a lot of time left.

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen CSU go on a 3-4 goal run that spanned 1:30...

If you let them go on that run, you generally never recover.
