Previous posts were from the blackberry, and I got roped into running the clock so I had to be quick.

Tthe first MSU goal came on a broken clear that caught LU's goalie out of the cage. MSU's LSM Brittain picked up the ball at about the 45 yard line and bounced it in.

MSU's Schumacher scored with 4.8 seconds left in each half in regulation, the first to tie it up at 6 going into halftime, and the second on an 80 yard single handed clear to cap a 3-0 run for MSU sending it into OT.

LU's defense got caught with a shortie on Kegley in the second OT, and he got the winning goal for the Spartans. I may sound a bit biased at this point (because I am), but they played a great game.

Not sure on the stats, but MSU's faceoff (Baynton) guy had a great game including a goal in the first. Dean Hall had an amazing game in goal for the Spartans. Turchetti on Defense had a great game in his return from a broken wrist.

Up next for MSU is the makeup game with Western Michigan which has been moved to East Lansing.

Wheelz33, you are right. It has been a very tough season for these guys this year, and they played great today. I was very proud of them.

Congratulations to Coach Tibbits on his first win as a head coach.

Thanks to Coach Hood and Lindenwood for coming up to East Lansing!
