Montana scores four quick goals to start the game. 4-0 Grizzlies, with ten minutes remaining in the first.

At the end of the first quarter, Montana leads 6-2. Western Washington's Freshman Goalie Noah Symington has recorded 11 saves already in the game.

Grizzlies lead 8-3 with 7:43 remaining in the first half. Western has committed "some dumb penalties" and Montana has made the Vikings pay, scoring on three of four EMOs.

Montana leads at the half 9-5. The Grizz will start the 3rd quarter on EMO again, as WWU was flagged for a slash as time was running out in the 2nd.

5:00 remaining in the third, Montana leads 11-8. Western Washington is now "playing really well" and has been creeping back into contention.

Montana took control of this game early, and really their lead was never in jeopardy. WWU made a run, as they always do, but Montana had an answer for every run the Vikings made at them. . .and in the end the constant pressure the Montana attack put on the WWU defense wore them down and led to a sloppy 4th by the Vikings. . .and Montana pulled away.
Goalie Noah Symmington of WWU was unbelievable in the loss, making 23 saves and he really kept his team in the game. Zander Ault, Townsend Hall and Jake Bagley were all fantastic for the Grizzlies today. . .and Montana looks like they are finally clicking in all facets of their game.
If the Grizzlies play in 2 weeks the way they played this weekend, I expect a very strong showing by the Grizzlies.
