Final from Denver: #6 BYU 11 over #1 CSU 8

BYU will face CU tomorrow and CSU will face CU next weekend back in Denver at Invesco at Mile High.

CSU was the last undefeated team in the MDIA Division A play.

Unreal. BYU goes down by 3 and then closes the game with a 6 goal run against #1 CSU. Congrats to the Cougs on a huge victory. This is obviously not the same BYU team that came out to California earlier in the year. After watching them dismantle Oregon in the 2nd half last week, you have to think that the Cougs are hitting on all cylinders now. Would be interested to know how they did on the faceoffs today as they had some difficulty with that against Oregon.

Thanks to byualum for the live updates. He deserves all the credit for the great reporting.

Good luck to BYU tomorrow against CU, they now control their destiny in the RMLC Division A. I'm sure CU will have something to say about that tomorrow.

byualum did mention that CSU seemed to win about 75% of the faceoffs through the 3rd quarter. Zach Davis did have a fast break goal off of a face off though to start the 4th quarter.

Great Win for the Cougars! having watched all of the CSU/BYU games over the past 4 years, the 6 goal run sounds like something CSU would normally do. Way to play Cougars, now don't rest on your laurels because CU would love nothing more than to take you down. Focus in on the Buffaloes, today's game is now history. Go BYU, beat CU!
If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.

Thanks to Jason and byualum for the updates. I had to leave my office before it was over, and that's what kept the number of hits to the thread under 3,000.

It will be interesting to see how BYU comes out vs. CU tomorrow, and Noma later in the week. If they can win those games, then they have as good a chance as anyone to win it all in Plano.

Go Cougs!
