UCLA played real well and Chapman did not play well at all, I was confused on how they took UCSB to OT.

UCLA won majority (65-75%) of the face-offs so the had the ball a lot longer and more often than Chapman. Anytime Chapman scored or gained momentum, UCLA won the face-off then things died off.

Chapman's middie defense was not very good. UCLA kept beating people from up top and there was zero sliding or UCLA's quick little middies ran by them. Chapman also seemed to always have their LSM not on UCLA's middies who were the ones beating their man so UCLA always had a mismatch on a short stick.

Chapman didn't really do anything impressive on offense when they did get the ball. UCLA's defense played real well. They slide well and their goalie made saves when he was needed to.

The only plus I saw from Chapman was their goalie had a couple stuff saves including one on a 2-on-none fast break.

UCLA played much better compared to when I saw them play UC-Irvine and I think they could get even better as they still had some forced passes and some bad clears.

I've seen UCLA play this year, and I can tell you- Chapman may have had a bad game but UCLA is legit. I also noticed the quality of their faceoff man in their game against UCSD.

I am of the opinion that UCLA is on the rise for sure- and this win puts them in contention (solid contention) for first or second in the LA division.

Chapman might not see playoffs...

This year's cross-town rivalry USC vs. UCLA match-up is probably going to be the most significant in recent years with playoff implications for two rising squads. I really wish I could make that game...
