penalties after the whistle

A question about two calls:
Player A1 is in possession and attacking the goal when a whistle is blown for Team A being offsides. During the brief continuation of play after the whistle player B1 body checks Player A1 above the shoulders. Ruling???
Player A1 loses possession of the ball and it heads toward the sideline. Player A1 and B1 give chase and the ball goes out of bounds, whistle is blown. Immediately following the whistle, Player B1 during brief continuation of play pushes A1 from behind. Ruling???
I am curious how non-intentional penalties (I wouldn't deem these late hits) that occur after the whistle are handled by most officials? These would be instances immediately following a whistle where there is a brief moment where play continues.
