All legal except for 5 at the endline, as long as the crosses are not thrown during the exchange

The answers:

(1) A1 and A2 exchange crosses with each other on the field of play during a dead ball.

(2) A1 and A2 exchange crosses with each other on the field of play during a live ball.

Both legal. See the new:

A.R. 25. A1 and A2 exchange crosses with each other on the field of play during (1) A live ball; (2) A dead ball. RULING: (1) Legal exchange. (2) Legal exchange.

(3) A1 runs to the sideline during a live ball and exchanges his crosse with a coach, who is standing in the coaches' box.

(4) A1 runs to the sideline during a live ball and exchanges his crosse with a coach, who is standing in the special substitution area.

(5) A1 runs to the endline during a live ball and exchanges his crosse with a coach, who is standing off the field of play.

(3) and (4) are legal, and (5) is illegal. See:

A.R. 26. During play, A1 runs to the bench to exchange his crosse, which is not broken; and this is not noticed by an official. Should the timer or scorer blow the horn twice at the next dead-ball whistle and notify officials? RULING: No. This is a legal exchange (must be at coaches area or table area).

(6) A1 runs to the sideline during a live ball and exchanges his crosse with a player, who is standing in the coaches' box.

(7) A1 runs to the sideline during a live ball and exchanges his crosse with a player, who is standing in the special substitution area.

These are both technically illegal, since it's a conduct foul for a player to be in the coaches box or in the penalty area (unless waiting to sub or getting info from the scorer's table). However, it might be wise to let these two infractions go with a warning instead of calling a foul.
