Appeals ?
Is there anyway to get an appeal for getting kicked out of a game for throwing a punch? Especially if it was plainly obvious that the punch in question was not a punch but just your run of the mill cross-check therefore making it physically impossible to be a punch ?

There is no ejection for "Throwing a punch," but there is for flagrant misconduct or deliberately striking someone. If the official though the cross check was deliberate or especially vicious and ejected you, you can appeal this no more than you can appeal a slash call that you disagreed with.
Under NFHS rules, you can challenge the application of a rule, but not the judgment involved. NCAA has no such provision.
