I've heard rumors from two reputable sources that Nike is going to buy out the Kyle Harrison line from STX. Anyone else heard about this?

Rumor I heard was that Nike would try to buy the whole enchilada (all of STX). They certainly have the pockets.

Nike would love to get their hands on STX. However, STX is a privately owned company in Baltimore. If anything, the parent company ( http://www.williamtburnett.com/ ) uses STX has a tax write-off and is basically fun for them. Even though Nike could throw a ton of cash at STX, STX basically wants to remain indepedent and I suppose stay the 'little-guy' trying to make it in the ocean of corporate America trying to invade Lacrosse.

Nike recently sold off the Nike-Bauer hockey operation. Don't know if that would make them a little guy-shy when it comes to purchasing a lacrosse company.

ive heard that Nike is either going to buy out STX or introduce their own full product line next year (2009 season).
