It really depends on your style of facing off. If your a reverse clamper then you want one with a straighter scoop, if your a power clamper then you want a really stiff head like an original revolution. If your a pure FOGO then find an aftershock or odyssey and pinch them down. If you run the plunger then go with the proton power or helix. Of course one of the best f/o heads of all time is the warrior blade if you can find one on ebay.

THe Blade is the way to go...

I unfortunately broke mine awhile ago.

You cant really seem to get them now for under like 80$ (most of the time used)

but check EBay and such...because you cant go wrong with that stick

I'm with Corbin, but it really is personal style. I'm starting to really like the Asylum I picked up based on an earlier Corbin recommendation. I've used a torque for years. Both of our fogo's use original revolutions but they take a lot of maintenance to keep legal.

I'm sure if you shoot corbin a pm with the techniques you like he'll give you a list of 5+ heads to check out. Good luck,

Pretty much if anyone shoots me info about their style of play and position I'll give them some good heads to try.

I have pretty much had my hands on every one on the market.

The asylum is a great f/o head. I pretty much run a plunger or a pop and go so I'm now using the helix from warrior.

well, this is from personal experience, but I think the blade is terribly weak for a faceoff head. It was great for attack back in the day, but it can be bent so easily on the faceoff and warped dramatically that I had to stop using them at midfield back in hs

I agree abot the asylum, and if your looking for a modern low profile f/o head that's all around playable as well, the STX Profile is nice. It's rigid enough to get dirty and come out clean and it keeps it's shape well. The sidewalls are well designed and allow a player to plunge, clamp, push or lay a hard check on a shooter. Good Luck.

In my personal opinion, The only heads you can't use for a face off are the one that pinch twoard the center (brine answer, warrior finalizer, etc..). Any other head can be used. Its all about how much you practice. Your stick shouldn't make that much of a difference. If your head won't allow you to rake with the lip, then use the sidewalls. The only exception I can make to that is if your head gets flimsy, cause you do need a stiff head. I think its gay that guys make their stick a full on faceoff master, but then cannot even throw with it. It is sad. People should hone their skills instead of using their stick to advance their ability.

I'm also a big fan of the First Gen. Evolution for its light weight and flexibility. I can see how a lot of it is up to personal preference, though, as long as you're not using a head that's too stiff. I guess that's just my opinion though.

I play D-pole so I dont ever face off but I have had 2 profiles and they both broke relativly quickly and in the exact same place (about there the top meets the sidewall), one of them even broke in the exact same place on both side. Another kid on my tem had one and it broke in the same spot too. while I loved playing with the head and it gave me great control I think it has some durability issues that would be extra pertinent for faceing off

the revolution is really good...but you do have to make sure they dont get to pinched. i also really liked the bionic, its a good stiff head.

face off head

I would highly reccomend the STX proton power if you are going to do the plunger. The heads that I used to use are the Brine Nitrous and Warrior Blade; both are pretty flexible but the reason I like the proton power is because it is a bit more narrow. If you are looking for a stronger and wider head then I would use the Bionic.

Go with the original Revolution ...you'll thank me later. Just don't beat up on UT too badly when you use it.
