In a sad, ironic twist of fate, I the moderator of this Lax Gear form, had all of my gear stolen out of the back of my truck last night.
Short of putting out an APB, there isnt much I can do...so now I have to rebuild all of my gear from the ground up...so any suggestions of what a 6'2" fat goalie may need that I have yet to hear about, im all ears

sorry to hear
I feel your pain. I have all of my lacrosse stuff stolen from a locked locker at the Dome we have here. I was very sad...my stick I almost cried over. Just had that baby how I wanted it and poof it was gone. it was over $650 gone that I had to replace before our first game. No fun....explains why I'm in such debt now.

i understand how you feel. a bunch of our guys had a variety of stuff stolen when we rushed the field after our 2OT victory this weekend. sticks, sweatshirts, bags, etc. not sure what the black market price for a pair of davidson lacrosse sweatpants is these days but apparantly someone wants them.

I ended up searching that nieghborhood for hours...looking in every trash can and dumpster, but never had any luck.
The thing that really sucked about the whole thing is that I had to get new jerseys made for my number, which was costy. Im just happy they didnt steal my stick....I had just finished restringing it then...and it takes way to long to string a goalie stick

File a police report and call the local play-it-again stores. 3 years ago, young Mason Goodhand got 7 Utah Cpro customs out of his car. He did that, and when the thief tried to sell them at a playitagain a few days later, the clerk called the cops, was arrested, and everyone got thier gear back.

I dont know what youre talking about. I did one this friday night when i got back from going around campus and had it done in a matter of maybe 2 hours. All i had left was the string at the bottom to hold the pocket in and the shooting strings, which i finished up in about a half hour the next day. Being that it was needed for the game that saturday.

I agree call the police file a report...you may even be protected under your car insurance for the stolen goods. But definetly call Play It again or any local pawn shops and let them know what was stolen. One of my buddies had all his gear stolen a couple years ago and also got it all back when the perp tried to come and sell it to the store.

Well, this is a link to box lacrosse gear, but if I were a goalie, I'd want this chest protector.

They also have some other things I would want to wear. I like to get my body in front of shots when I play goalie in practices.
They also have used equipment on that site.

Actually, luckly enough my box gear was inside my truck so it wasnt stolen...otherwise I would have been in a much worse mood.
I have the MXCA 1000 NLL.....its really comfy...but its hard to get your arms high enough to really play outdoors with it. Anyways, it way too hot.

Ha, I know I am a little girl, but I have more confidence when I wear shin guards.
Also, most of the people who make fun of goalies for wearing shin gaurds have never stepped between the pipes.
Getting hit in the shins hurts
