can anyone tell me what should pads these are...

Well, to get the picture up, you click image, just like you did, then right click on the picture, pick properties, copy the address, paste, click IMG and you're done. I put some spaces and dashes in there so it won't work and you can see....

I feel like I should know what pads those are (and I use the term pads loosely), but I can't remember.

I recognize them, but can't find the exact model. From his other pads being all Brine, maybe there's a model out there I didn't find, but I think they are a between version of these two pads:
Warrior MPG Ultralyte Shoulder Pad (circa 2002)
Warrior MPG Ultralyte Shoulder Guard 2.0
While searching for them I found that every manufacturer has a version of miminalist pads. Also, most pads have removable upper arm guards. Remember though, if they are not velcro'd and you cut the upper arms off they are now illegal by the letter of the NCAA rules.
