Nitrous has been givng me a lot of wins at the X. The shockwave is also fun if you want to bend the hell out of the other persons head. Nitrous is good at faicng off and great for a middie going to the cage

very expensive head to damage though at X

I did see that face of pocket on the internet. Is it any good?

Face-Off Heads

I've recently enjoyed using the Gait Torque. It's stiff enough to face-off but also usable enough once you get ball off the ground. Its a terrific head for all positions as well as being very light. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I know its an old thread....

I recently switched from onset to offset because of playing men's league now and wanting to do some other things besides just face. I tried out a ton of heads, including the ones I mentioned before, and settled on the Gait Chaos. Its brand new for 2006 but you can find it around, just search google and I think that that Lacrosse Unlimited carries it. Its incredibly stiff and has a flat bottom rail that makes the clamp solidly against the ground.

My favorite face off head is the brine nitrous. I have one that is 4 years old (first edition) and it is still going strong. It has a few stress cracks in it, but its super lightweight, and it throws like a dream. Also, for those who do more than face offs, I suggest moving your pocket higher in the head. You can have a great lip, and still have a deep pocket with the velocity you need for the outside shots.
