I played around with it a few years ago when it first made it's appearance. Unless you actually like doing tricks with your stick, don't get it. This stick just provides some "stall" points on the head as well as some teeth on the back side of the head to do some different indian pick-ups. I don't even know why they made it, to be honest with you. It's smaller than a normal head and is not practical to use at any level.

I bring it to practice (as a coach) because I like to have a stick in my hands at practice (out of habit). It's just kinda a cool way to blow time while everyone's doing line drills.

If you do get one, don't bring it to a game. I believe the rule is that any stick on the side lines can be checked for legality.

Got my Guru today, it was like $30 so I figured why not? Only problem is, I was hoping it would come with a little booklet or something telling me how I could do the "8-10 tricks" they advertise. Anyone know how to figure this out? Or do I just figure it out by playing with it?

I think the majority of them are stalls, which you can achieve on the sidewalls/rails and the circular indentations where the head meets the shaft. Use the teeth on the top of the head (backside) to do a reverse indian pick-up. That's about all I can think of...
